Meet Dr. Katrina Pinkney — The Human Behind the Work
Dr. Katrina Pinkney is a clinician, educator, author, and wellness innovator dedicated to helping people reconnect with their truth. With more than a decade of experience across private practice, nonprofit, public health, healthcare, and higher education, she brings a blend of clinical expertise, cultural awareness, and lived experience to everything she does.

Dr. Pinkney’s work is also grounded in equity and representation. She has a deep commitment to underserved communities, including Black Americans and vulnerable populations, ensuring that her care and her advocacy both reflect cultural responsiveness and justice.

Beyond the Credentials
While “Dr. Pinkney” represents the professional, Katrina is the person behind the vision—a woman who believes wellness is not just about survival, but about wholeness and expression.
Through her company, 2411 York, she is building a wellness initiative that integrates mental health, creative expression, and community healing. It’s a space where therapy meets art, and where truth-telling becomes a form of liberation.

That same spirit of honesty and reflection comes alive in her debut poetry collection, I Be Less Than: A Collection of Poems about Power, Pain, and Resilience.

Her poetry and her practice share the same heartbeat: the courage to be seen, the power of language to heal, and the belief that even in pain, there is strength.

The Life Beyond the Work
Currently based in Philadelphia, Dr. Pinkney shares her life with her fiancé and two cats, Grey and Axel. Outside of work, she finds grounding in writing, fitness, and travel—all practices that connect her to balance and joy.
